Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something. Apple is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Platform Project Lead to join the Display Technologies Organization. The role will be responsible for integrating new technology development of display and optical modules for future Apple products. The project manager will work in a highly technical, multi-disciplinary, and fast-paced environment. The candidate is expected to collaborate with diverse engineering teams and seamlessly integrate technology development efforts to enable next-generation product architectures. This role involves early-stage development projects that require experience in interdisciplinary hardware R&D environments and the ability to drive and leverage expertise from various cross-functional colleagues. The ideal candidate will serve as the ambassador to influence a large cross-functional collaboration, demonstrate a proven record of experience in coordinating technical efforts from various engineering teams with strong communication and organizational skills.

Description

▪Serve as a platform technology ambassador to establish engagement with large cross-functional teams, align and coordinate engineering efforts to generate systematic, high-quality learning and solutions. ▪Participate in technology development strategies and plan collaboration efforts. ▪Communicate and present high-level technical concepts, plans, and development status effectively and precisely to collaborators and leadership. ▪Advocate for optimal product outcomes with a comprehensive understanding of technology trade-offs and a strategic mindset. ▪Identify and resolve conflicts, interdependencies, and development risks quickly and efficiently. ▪Possess a strong technical background and the ability to efficiently capture complex and challenging engineering issues during rapid development iterations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field minimum with 10 years of relevant industry experience

  • Experience in driving technology development projects in R&D environments or similar early-phase stages.

  • Experience in program management or technical project management that involves multi-functional teams across various engineering fields.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering, Physics, or a relevant engineering field with 5 years of experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across various levels in the organization, including both working-level alignment and presentation to executive management.

  • Strong planning, organization, and documentation skills.

  • Proven leadership experience on cross-functional hardware development projects.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in process development, equipment development, characterization, and data analysis.

  • Experience working in consumer electronics products related to display, optics, precision instruments, module process, and materials.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
