Summary:

Meta is seeking an ASIC Engineering Intern to join our Release to Production Engineering team. As an Intern of Infra Silicon Enablement team, you will be part of a dynamic team working with the best in the industry, focused on developing and supporting innovative ASIC solutions for Meta’s data center applications.

Required Skills:

ASIC Engineer Intern, Infra Silicon Enablement Responsibilities:

1. Work across all aspects of silicon lifecycle to deliver reliable and performant silicon solutions - from early architecture and design inputs, pre-silicon validation, bring-up and post-silicon characterization and deployment in fleet

2. Create/develop validation and automation tool sets targeted at silicon validation and productization - inclusive of, but not limited to silicon diagnostics, performance analysis, debug tools, bare metal and full stack systems, from early labs to data center deployments

3. Understand production system use cases to improve validation

4. Provide feedback into next generation architecture and design with insights from the production fleet

5. Root-cause, resolve and remediate issues with silicon across the product lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications:

6. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering fields

7. Completed Coursework in Computer architecture and/or Electrical engineering

8. Experience with troubleshooting, debug and analytics for Silicon products

9. Experience in Linux, Python, C/C++ and/or similar languages (data structures, algorithms, and OOP)

10. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

11. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering fields

12. Experience in ASIC Design, Development or Validation (Silicon bringup, validation, emulation, characterization, etc)

13. Experience with Silicon Lifecycle for Data center applications like Video, AI/ML or Networking

14. Experience with some of the following modules/domains: PCIe, Networking, Flash, Memory, CPU, GPU, DRAM (LP/DDR4/5 and/or HBM)

15. Understanding of embedded systems, including common bus protocols such as I2C, SPI, USB, and/or PCIe

16. Understanding of SW/FW/HW Engineering or ASIC development cycles

17. Intent to return to a degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op

Public Compensation:

$6,375/month to $11,067/month + benefits
