AI Engineering Manager, Anti-Abuse AI Modeling

Serving more than 1 Billion members worldwide, the Anti-Abuse AI team's mission is to create safe, authentic, and transparent experiences so individuals and organizations can be productive and successful. As a Manager in the Account Abuse AI team, you will help achieve this mission by pivotally building out our next gen abuse modeling ecosystem to keep fake accounts and entities off LinkedIn, reducing harmful activities from fake accounts, and delivering a world-class enforcement experience.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities:

Manage the performance and career development of a team of engineers and own significant parts of LinkedIn products that require design architecture and coding. Coach the team to produce impactful solutions using machine learning at scale to improve trust in the LinkedIn ecosystem. Participate with senior management in developing a long-term strategic roadmap. Attract top talent and build a world-class team of passionate engineers. Engage in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team. Collaborate with anti-abuse infrastructure engineering, product, data science, and Trust & Safety teams for developing novel solutions to challenging problems in the fraud and abuse space at LinkedIn.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience, including significant work with AI algorithms, Machine Learning, LLMs, and/or related engineering disciplines. 1+ year(s) of management experience leading a AI/ML engineering team, or 1+ year(s) of Staff level AI/ML engineering experience with management trainingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

8+ years of overall experience. MS or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline. Good understanding of enterprise grade architecture and solutions/technologies related to Machine Learning, distributed key-value stores, streaming processes, workflow scheduler, recommender systems, statistical methods, and experimental design.Ability to lead by example and inspire the team to perform at a very high level, and collaborate very well across different teams.Highly motivated and has the ability to convert vague and ill-defined problems into well-defined problems, take initiative and encourage consensus building across the entire organization.

Compensation Disclosure:

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $164,000 - $268,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
