Corliss Resources, a Heidelberg Materials organization, is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team in Sumner, Washington. As a Plant Operator, you are responsible for performing various tasks to assist with the production of aggregates. Additionally, you will safely and efficiently operate fixed and mobile equipment typically used in an aggregate plant and provide routine maintenance of processing plants and conveyance systems.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Operate mobile equipment on plant property (excavator, dozer, loader, haul truck, etc.)

• Safely and efficiently operate fixed and mobile aggregate plant equipment.

• Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas

• Assist with plant tasks including lubrication, maintenance, repairs

• Transport materials to and from storage and shop areas

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures and rules/laws specified by site, city, state, federal

Essential Experience and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to work in year-round weather conditions, extremes of hot and cold weather.

• Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain

• Excellent safety-first attitude

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

• Must be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Experience operating loaders, excavators, and other equipment a plus.

• Mechanical experience a plus
