This is a job order for FARMWORKERS/ LABORERS.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Farmworkers will participate in general duties associated with a commercial farming operation including but not limited to:
** vegetable harvesting including planting, growing, harvesting and packing of various row crops. Crops include pickling cucumber, and long green cucumbers.
** maximize crop by best weeding and harvesting practices.
** perform work on and off tractors, that seed crops, transplant crops, spray crops, harvest crops and cultivate fields.
** perform work moving and setting up irrigation pipes.
** comply with all safety, labor and food safety requirements and attend all safety meetings.
Work is done in the field for long periods of time. The person in this position may assist in handling product weighing up to 60 pounds and lifting to a height of 3 feet. Workers must work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking.
Work required in fields when plants are wet with dew and rain, and may be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Temperatures in fields during working hours can range from 30 to over 90 degrees F. The person in this position may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Willing to commit to the entire contract period
3 months of experience in hand harvesting vegetable row crops on a commercial farming operation
Able to lift 60 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE
Contract period: August 1^st^, 2024 through October 1^st^, 2024
8 hours per day Monday through Friday.
SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS
$19.25 per hour.
The payroll period shall be weekly.
The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies and personal protective equipment required in the performance of the specified work.
Employer provided housing/kitchen facilities are available for employees who are unable to reasonably return to their place of residence the same day.
