Baldwin EMC Facilities Maintenance Specialist in Summerdale, Alabama

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Specialist Department: Safety, Loss Control and Facilities Location: Summerdale**
Description of Responsibilities: Coordinates/Performs facilities maintenance and building remodel/new construction projects as required. Responsibilities include general maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and maintaining the appearance of all the facilities and grounds at various property locations. Coordinates/Performs the building projects, work, or services, including, but not limited to, assisting with scheduling and overseeing the work performed by various contractors. Performs routine site inspections of all Baldwin EMC facilities and grounds to identify deficiencies requiring attention. Develop inspection check-off sheets as requested. Support the department for facility projects, including planning, specifications design, etc., for all facility additions, remodeling, and significant repairs. Assist in preparing Request for Proposals and Requests for Bids for the work required. Provide written routine reports to the Safety Loss Control and Facilities Manager, noting any problems or issues found and corrective action taken. Inspect the American flag facilities at all Baldwin EMC office locations, ensure all etiquette and display guidelines are met, and assist with flag and equipment maintenance as required.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma. An associate's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of facilities maintenance experience or a combination of education and proven work experience. Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of essential internet and email operations. Additional training to become more proficient in the position's tasks and skills.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Duties are performed indoors and outdoors during varying weather conditions. Overtime may be required to complete the duties as directed. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, crawl in/through low spaces. Tasks include the need for hand-finger dexterity, clear speech, hearing/listening, reading and writing, lifting and moving furniture and operating related tools, and equipment. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects of at least 50 pounds.
