Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to work in our loading dock, filling trucks with various chemicals. This role involves working in an enclosed fill station where tanker trucks arrive to be filled with specific chemicals according to work orders provided by the tanker drivers. The Warehouse Operator will manage the controls, ensure the correct chemicals are selected, and follow all safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Receive work orders from tanker drivers and select the correct chemicals needed.

• Apply proper safety gear including rubber boots, rubber overalls, rubber jacket, and full face shield.

• Manage the controls in the filler room to select and run the correct chemicals into the tanker truck.

• Operate a large hose from the top of a staircase, using a lift gate to connect the hose to the tanker.

• Ensure the correct amount of chemicals is loaded into the tanker and securely seal the tanker.

• Document work processes and ensure quality checks on filled tankers.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

• Experience in documenting work, such as outbound shipments or quality checks on manufactured parts.

• Forklift certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Chemical filling experience is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is a chemical manufacturing plant. Candidates will work in a filling station to load chemical products onto trucks. The role requires standing on your feet for 8-10 hours per day. We seek safety-conscious individuals with warehouse experience. The position involves handling hazardous materials, and appropriate safety gear is provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sulphur, Louisiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
