Phillips 66 Maintenance Coordinator I&E in Sulphur, Louisiana

The Maintenance Coordinator I&E is resposnible for primary maintenance of all facility assets. Planning, coordination, and implementation of major maintenance and capital projects in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Maintenance Specialist include:

  • Provide primary hardware and software maintenance and repair for all plant control systems.

  • Provide programming assistance for controller and PLC changes or new installations.

  • Act as the plant Competent Person for work on energized electrical systems and electrical LOTO procedures.

  • Provide primary maintenance and repair for all plant process equipment, including preventative and predictive maintenance, calibration, equipment upgrades and reliability.

  • Address daily work orders timely and cost effectively with the use of a work order system.

  • Effectively track and communicate maintenance task and project status.

  • Maintain spare parts inventory controls to facilitate repairs and to minimize process equipment downtime while optimizing working capital.

  • Track process equipment downtime and cost of repair.

  • Work with BU engineering during the design, planning, purchasing, and scheduling phases of capital projects.

  • Oversee contract workforce to ensure work is completed in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner.

  • On call to plant operations around the clock to respond to emergency needs.

  • Accountable for the Overhead and Operating Expense Budget for the Maintenance function.

  • Evaluate Capital Project requirements to meet current and future plant equipment needs.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and HSEQ procedures and training.

  • Actively support HSEQ teams.

  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of all Maintenance procedures and records.

  • Maintain all work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.

Basic /Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

  • Three years Instrumentation/Electrical experience in refinery/process operations.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to maintain and diagnose electrical and control systems.

  • Ability to respond to unforeseen equipment breakdowns and inititate maintenance as needed on an around the clock basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Instrumentation/Electrical field or 10 years process plant experience

  • NICET Certification Level I and II

  • High voltage power certifications.

  • Proficient (perform the skill with limited assistance) with E-Mail, Excel, Word, and SAP.

  • Working knowledge of the requirements of ISO or QS compliant maintenance system and equipment.

  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to function as a team player

  • Basic knowledge of NFPA 90
