ManpowerGroup Electrical Power and Design Engineer in Sugar Land, Texas
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Power & Design Engineer to support our growing electrical power services.
Key Experience & Skills
A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing electrical construction and specification packages, including:
Load studies
Single-line diagrams
Plot plan & area/building detail diagrams
Lighting, grounding, conduit, and cable schedules
Construction specifications
Equipment and installation details
Preferred experience with:
Area classification drawings
Motor/breaker schematics and wiring diagrams
Lightning protection
Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE 3000 Series, and API 500 standards (preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience with power system modeling tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) and electrical relay settings (e.g., GE Multilin, SEL) is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
Responsibilities
Lead the development of electrical power construction packages suitable for PE stamping and plan submission
Create detailed electrical power specifications and bills of materials
Coordinate with vendors for equipment pricing
Participate in load studies, field verification walkdowns, and as-building of existing infrastructure
Perform factory acceptance testing and support start-up/commissioning efforts, including troubleshooting
Provide after-hours technical support for clients
Collaborate with Project Managers on quality assurance, budget management, and project updates
Assist in estimating costs and preparing proposals for new projects
Travel required (approximately 25%), with willingness to travel by air
