Lockheed Martin Security Representative - Early Career in Suffolk, Virginia

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Security Representative - Early Career in Suffolk, VA. The successful candidate will assist the Security Team in ensuring compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and sensitive information. Perform in individual and team roles supporting contractual security requirements for DOD collateral programs. Implement federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution. Support the development and conducting security education training. Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Apply business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges.

Support and audit the security program for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and Sensitive Information.

• Perform in individual and team roles supporting all contractual security requirements for DoD collateral classified programs

• Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken

• Provide support for classified meetings and visits

• Work within DISS and NISS Government databases

• Support Document control utilizing the company information management system

• Process Receipt and dispatch of classified material

• Participation in security self-inspections

• Process Access Briefings (NATO, CNWDI, FGI, etc.)

• Support employee in and out-processing

• Provide support to Program Management team for various events at the site.

• Develop and conduct security education briefings/training

• Apply business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicates observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners

• Assist leadership in gathering data for corporate initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education. Entry level.

• Candidate must be a self-driven and results oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• The ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive, and risk-managed security recommendations, based on limited and or conflicting information, is also essential, as is the ability to thrive and build relationships both within the corporation and externally with our government customers and industry partners.

• Strong written and verbal communications, interpersonal relations, and analytical skills are required.

Desired Skills:

• Excellent computer skills, public speaking, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of DISS, SIMS, and security clearances.

• Understanding and knowledge of DoD policies.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
