Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a maintenance mechanic with experience in industrial or commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a well-rounded mechanical aptitude and be skilled in breakdown, repairing, replacing, or installing industrial maintenance equipment and machinery. Responsibilities include teardown, staging, setup, assembly and disassembly, and assisting with conveyor systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and more. The role also involves building structures that house various watercraft vehicles to facilitate their movement in and out of water.

Responsibilities

  • Perform breakdown, repair, replacement, and installation of industrial maintenance equipment and machinery.

  • Tear down, stage, set up, assemble, and disassemble equipment.

  • Assist with conveyor systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

  • Build structures to house watercraft vehicles for easy access in and out of water.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in industrial or commercial settings.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial electrician tasks.

  • Knowledge of terminators and pneumatics.

  • Capability to work on Huntington Ingles projects.

Work Environment

You will work indoors in a large, brand new, clean facility at Huntington Ingles. The work hours are from 6 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with most Saturdays included.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffolk, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
