Position Summary:

The Activities Therapist Assitance is responsible for the delivery of expressive therapy interventions, including music, art and recreation to increase patients self-confidence and socialization; Teaches patients appropriate identification and release of emotion, problem solving, productive and healthy physical activity and coping skills that can be carried over after discharge; Ensures timely and accurate documentation in patient charts.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a related field; with specialized skills development; (i.e. recreational, art, music, etc.)

  • Two (2) yrs experience in hospital / psychiatric/ mental health or special developmental needs setting

  • Certification or registration in area of expertise or certification a plus.
