Family Practice & Counseling Network Crisis Worker - Mobile/Tues-Sat 2nd Shift in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
Reference #: 2150855 Description Job title Crisis Worker Reports to Program Director Position Summary Under the authority of Management, the Crisis Worker assures that all operating procedures and regulations are followed. The Crisis Worker provides direct services to consumers, significant others and collateral resources and assists consumers in reaching goals set in treatment.
RHD is currently offering a $1,500 sign on bonus for all new Full-Time and a pro-rated amount for part-time employees after completing your 90-day probationary period.
Position is ON-SITE Shift: Tuesday to Saturday 4:30pm - 12:30am Salary: 21.12 per hour
Essential Duties and Functions Telephone Crisis Specific Duties including answering for the National Suicide Lifeline, screening incoming calls, providing appropriate telephone counseling, consultation, assessment and referral to needed services including Mobile and/or Residential Crisis Intervention services. Residential Crisis Specific Duties including but not limited to early walking, daily planning, meal preparation and clean-up, maintaining necessary scheduled appointments that have been approved by supervisory team member. Observe all scheduled and as needed (PRN) medication observations and assist as directed by Residential Nurse. Mobile Crisis Specific Duties including serving in a consultative and collaborative role with community personnel who are also involved in the provision of crisis services. Mobile Crisis Services will be the primary responsibility Working in the community, providing supportive mobile crisis intervention to children, adolescents and adults. Providing resources and support, diverting hospitalizations and police involvement. Administrative Complete all documentation as required by RHD, Funder, licensing/accreditation entities. Community Interaction Community Involvement and teamwork including but not limited to providing referral and other case management services for consumers and families at times of contact, either on the phone, in the community, or with the resident prior to discharge. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred with major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling, education or a related field. Must have a high school diploma or equivalency and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology; gerontology; or other social sciences. 2 years of experience in public or private human services with one year of mental health direct care experience. Working conditions This position is set in a residential or community environment. While performing the duties of the job, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, lift, and reach. Must be willing to perform all job-related travel associated with this position.
