Commonwealth of Pennsylvania County Social Services Aide - Monroe Co C&Y (Multiple Vacancies) in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a County Social Services Aide 2, you will provide abused and neglected children with social services they need such as home management, training and work programs, and mental health services. You will also assist in scheduling and monitoring the unit visitation. This will consist of supervising visits, providing documentation regarding the supervised visits, and in some cases, transporting dependent children to and from familial visits and appointments. Additionally, you will need to be prepared to testify at court hearings regarding those visits.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. You must be willing to travel. Travel expenses will be paid. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a County Social Services Aide 1; or Graduation from high school, or its equivalency, and two years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information; or An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
