Reference #: 4600404 THE POSITION Our staff at Monroe County Child Welfare Services work with families to coordinate services with community resources to improve family conditions. We are seeking a numbers-oriented individual who has exceptional communication skills to join our team as a County Fiscal Officer 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This is your chance to join an agency who makes a lasting impact on our community. As a County Fiscal Officer 2, you will be responsible for an approximate 2 million dollar budget and supervise a fiscal team. You will assemble the agency budget by costing out and projecting program revenues and expenditures in conjunction with the annual services plan developed by senior department program staff. Other duties include monitoring preparation of all invoices and statistical reports necessary for reimbursement from intergovernmental and other miscellaneous program revenue, establishing and maintaining effective budget control mechanisms to forecast both fixed and variable expenditures, and performing monthly closings or reconciliations. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1; or Four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or Two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
