Production Scheduler The Production Scheduler performs a number of duties that are essential to the smooth operation of Momentive Technologies Ceramics plants in Strongsville, Ohio and Kozuki, Japan. These duties include evaluating supply and demand in our manufacturing make-to-order environment and communicating schedules and updates to those schedules to multiple functional groups on a regular basis. Primary metrics for the Production Scheduler are OTIF (On Time, In Full delivery) and inventory. Duties and responsibilities Short term (1-14 days) manufacturing schedule Intermediate production plan (up to the full standard lead time for a given product group) Inventory management of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods Planning and administration of tolling locations Communication of the short and intermediate term production plans to the Supply Chain Manager, the relevant Operations groups, and the Commercial team, to Include prompt notification of any necessary changes to the original schedule Confirming ship dates so that the customer service representatives can communicate a ship schedule to the customers Working with Engineering to schedule furnaces to optimize yield, cost, inventory, and customer service Planning and scheduling of raw materials and intermediates to satisfy demand of finished goods Responding to MRP signals and adjusting the schedule accordingly Setting up master data and planning parameters in SAP, including BOMs and recipes to establish capacity and material demands Identifying systematic errors and either communicating the errors (with recommendations) to the appropriate people or implementing corrections Coordinating with fellow planner / schedulers to maximize efficient cooperation between Supply Chain and Operations Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or supply chain-related field 3 to 5 years of work experience in a supply chain role Experience with Continuous Improvement and Change Management Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels of the business Experience with ERP systems Preferred Qualifications Supply Chain Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Experienced with manufacturing drawings and machine shop operations Strong proficiency in SAP We are an Equal Opportunity Employer We treat all our associates and candidates as equals.
