Product Development Chemist Strongsville, OH As a Product Development Chemist in our Industrial Powder Coatings Division, you will play a crucial role in advancing our coatings. We are looking for an entry level chemist to join this small but dedicated team, bringing innovative solutions to our projects. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and commercializing cutting-edge coatings that meet rigorous industry standards. You will be a part in contributing to new product development from ideation to full commercialization. You will specifically contribute to developing new powder coatings for multiple industrial and automotive business. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on product formulation while interacting with various other business functions such as manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, sales, and other global development labs. You will be able to collaborate with and learn from other chemists. As you work together towards achieving our goals. You will also be involved in designing and conducting experiments, maintaining safety standards, reviewing intellectual property, and taking part in stage-gate activities. You will work onsite at our Strongsville, OH facility and report directly to the Supervisor, S&T Product development. Responsibilities: Learn coatings terminology, raw materials, standard operating procedures, and equipment pertaining to individual job/project. Perform project tasks with direction and supervision from a team leader or senior chemist. Provide independent thought, contribute to and design own experiments. Follow experimental procedures and generate reliable data in a timely manner. Keep excellent documentation of experiments. Able to effectively listen and communicate within the work team, providing clear and concise summaries of technical results, and able to orally present work. Organize work to maximize productivity in the laboratory. Collaborate with associates in Strongsville and from other locations around the globe.
