Job Title: Industrial Packager $19!!!
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated individuals for the 2nd shift packager role. The shift runs from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. You will work in an industrial environment, handling and packaging steel according to customer specifications.
Responsibilities
Work in an industrial environment, standing for the entire shift.
Package steel by banding large plates to customer specifications.
Learn customer requirements per order, including the use of skidded wood runners, the number of bands, and waterproof paper.
Collaborate with another packager to complete tasks.
Package 50-100 bundles of steel per day, each weighing 2,000-5,000 lbs.
Use plastic banding for 99% of the tasks.
Read work instructions and work with the team lead.
Operate a stacker machine, load coils, and make skids.
Use hand tools, a nail gun, and a stapler.
Operate an overhead crane and tow motor.
Essential Skills
Packaging experience
Forklift operation
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Experience in steel manufacturing
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Steel toe boots
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience using hand tools
Experience in a steel manufacturing environment is a plus
Overhead crane experience is a plus
Packaging steel experience is a plus
Forklift experience is a plus

Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
