Director, Brand Energy Marketing

As the Director, Brand Energy Marketing, you accountable for expanding relationships and partnerships with influential authenticators and the communities, who move the world forward. We are a purpose-led brand with a vision to build an equitable and green future. We believe in the power of community and the power of collaboration. Your role is to work across marketing functions and business functions. And to create a unique point of view and strategy around our brand’s approach to innovators, micro-influencers, and creators and their roles in building a global community. In partnership with the product teams, you will expand our collaboration platform and build it into a meaningful incubator for brand and business growth.

You'll be a trusted member of our team reporting to Vice President, Global Marketing. You will manage a team consisting of a Coordinator, Brand Energy Marketing.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • In partnership with other brand functions such as brand management, digital, and PR you will create Timberland’s future authenticator strategy.

  • In partnership with our global product and marketplace teams, you will further extend our collaboration strategy and integrated Collaboration/Incubation function as a critical component of our brand.

  • Report directly to the Vice President of Global Marketing, you will be responsible for building out Timberland’s relationship component as well as the 360 brand experiences together with our external collaboration partners.

  • You have experience in the build-out of relationships, influencer strategies, network building, and partnership management.

  • With your knowledge of culture and tier 0 retail, you will play a key role in building out the tier 0 influential network across creative culture, from fashion and street to eco-innovation and design, art around the world.

  • In partnership with our energy marketing leaders in Nora, EMEA, and China you will build a global team of authenticator experts.

  • You will be responsible for leading some of the unique energy projects from a brand marketing perspective such as Construct 10061 and EK By Raeburn.

  • You will be managing the Energy budget accordingly, and be in charge of relations, collaborations, and contract management.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 8 years

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

  • You have your first pairs of Timberland boots and a story about when and where you got them.

  • You know how to manage the outsiders, the game changers because you are one.

  • The ability to think both creatively and critically; demonstrating strategy and the desire to push boundaries.

  • The desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced creative culture with the flexibility to change gears for different projects.

  • A demonstrated ability to bring together external partners and brands, who are culturally relevant.

  • A global citizen with connections in movements, tribes, and influential communities around the world.

  • You are an energetic self-starter with excellent communication and leadership skills.
