Rowan University Research/Training Assistant, CARES Institute, Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and Co-Director, the Research/Training Assistant is responsible for assisting with the implementation of research, training, and clinical initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Performs various administrative duties as assigned and provides technology support, including related to research, training, and general clinic.

Conducts literature reviews, maintains up-to-date research on requested topics, and updates vitae.

Performs various database operations as assigned and assists with research/data file maintenance, including data entry and data checks.

Contributes to the development of creative, engaging presentations through PowerPoint and other multimedia assistance.

Administers and scores treatment and training-related measures.

Prepares training-related and other correspondence.

Contributes to the preparation and submission of grant proposals and manuscripts.

Generates, compiles, and presents data pertinent to research and clinical activities; assists with summarizing findings and report preparation.

Administers an approved informed consent process for research and/or treatment purposes.

Corresponds via telephone and email on behalf of supervisors.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Some research experience required. Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills, flexibility, and computer skills required. Experience with grant proposal preparation, providing administrative support, and developing PowerPoint presentations strongly preferred. One to two evenings are required. Travel between the two CARES sites (Stratford and Vineland) may be required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
