Our Client:
Our client is a leading aerospace and defense contractor, and they are looking for a Production Planner to join their team. This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in Stratford, CT and is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last approximately 1 year with a pay range of $30-40/hr. This role is on-site so you should be comfortable commuting to, Stratford, CT. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and control production schedules in alignment with material requirements to meet production goals.
Coordinate material movement between warehouse/storeroom and production areas to ensure timely availability.
Advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and any potential production issues.
Schedule equipment and personnel, and confirm material supply and demands.
Prepare work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, contracts administration, etc.
Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook.
SAP experience is preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Previous experience in production scheduling, material coordination, or a related field is highly desirable.
