The Larson Group Senior Network Engineer in Strafford, Missouri

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Senior Network Engineer provides technical research and direction regarding the server and network infrastructure planning and vision. Creates, maintains, and holds ownership of infrastructure related technical specifications, designs, and implementations. This position will work directly with internal and external partners with only high-level oversight from the direct manager (Director, CIO/VP, IT management). What We Offer: * Paid Time Off * Paid Holidays * Medical, Dental and Basic Life * 401K with employer contribution * Bi-weekly Pay Schedule * Opportunity for advancement and Career Development Responsibilities: * Sets the standard for the highest quality of uptime and solutions for the Network Infrastructure. * Mentors and provides leadership and guidance for Tier II and TLG Helpdesk employees and encourages an environment of sharing and teamwork among IT staff * Provides technical ownership for Virtualization, UCS Server environment, SAN(s), MDF/IDF, and SD-WAN implementations across distributed environments. * Communicates information needed to assess the risk of product deployment to critical and vital applications and identify vulnerable hardware points of failure. * Performs installations, configures readiness and performance for rapidly scalable environments. Will routinely evaluate stability and durability by following best practices. * Assist in determining overall hardware and software configurations, planning for future support of growing operations with infrastructure, mobility, Cloud Services, and SLA for all application deliveries. * Responsible for staying informed and up to date on current, and emerging technologies as well as areas of expertise that can bring value and technical impact to TLG. * Manage relationships with Security and Network Vendors to ensure all security flaws and vulnerabilities are clear and/or risks are clearly understood. * Oversee portions of Vulnerability and Patch Management and desktop GPO environments. * Oversee health and uptime for SD-WAN and ISP Inventories Qualifications: * A bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or technical certification (plus years’ experience) in network engineering, with at least 5/7 years of Information Technology infrastructure work experience. * Strong ability to troubleshoot complex network routing issues as well as Windows Server Environments and be able to implement system changes and upgrades as needed * Expert knowledge of Cisco Meraki SD-WAN/WiFi technologies, Microsoft O/M 365, Windows Server, Hybrid environment Azure/on prem datacenters * Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies, including Cisco Route Switch to include Video endpoints and cloud-based PBX and WebEx/MS Teams environments * Strong knowledge of installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of Windows Server OS, SQL Server, Linux/Windows Servers, VMWare, Nimble/EMC, VEEAM, and other SAN Backup and Recovery technologies. * Strong understanding of all major networking protocols and internet technologies * Working knowledge of backup and restore procedures for Virtual, Physical, Remote Desktop and other database systems. * Strong knowledge of SD-WAN and management of carrier ISP technologies * High Availability concept/knowledge will be a big plus (i.e. Local Datacenter HA or DR across multiple DC) * Expert knowledge of naming services LDAP, DNS, Web DNS, Active Directory/Entra * Any working knowledge of HTML, ColdFusion, PHP will be preferred * Virtualization Technologies: SDDC (Software-Defined Data Center) SD Networks, Hypervisors, Containers.
