About the Role The Accounts Payable Accountant reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor at ACRT Services. This position will play a key role in timely, efficient, and accurate payment of vendor invoices. This position requires strong attention to detail and a high level of organization. What You'll Do Ensure timely, efficient and accurate payment of vendor invoices in accordance with department procedures and within terms Submit invoices with accurate account coding and ensure proper approvals Reconcile and research vendor statements and resolve discrepancy issues timely Promptly respond to inquiries from vendors and internal clients Assist with Company Credit Card Program & Corporate Travel Assist with the company credit card program including expense review and inquiries Assist with Corporate Travel coding in Egencia Provide Support to the Accounting Department Initiate month-end accruals where required General ledger reconciliations Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities activities Work closely with the accounting team and business partners to answer questions and support the business Prepare checks for mailing & distribution Assist in special projects as needed Compliance Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations (local, state/province, federal) Comply with established standards and protocols of the Accounts Payable department, finance and accounting policies and internal control procedures Other duties as assigned About You Must haves: Education: Associates degree in Accounting (or willing to substitute for 10 years of Accounts Payable experience) Experience: 1 year of accounting experience Nice to haves: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Experience: 3 years of accounting experience Your Skills: Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior management This role would not be a good fit if: You don't enjoy working with details.
