Insight Global Underwriting Assistant in Stockton, California

Job Description

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for an Underwriting Assistant for one of our top Insurance clients. This candidate would be joining their multi-line insurance division, based out of their corporate office in Stockton. This is a fast-paced role, requiring the assistants to stay very organized and work quickly to support team members. The main tasks include gathering data, piecing together information, documenting files, supporting underwriters, and maintaining relationships with the brokers. In this role, you would report directly to a Lead and be part of a team of 4 Underwriters and 2 other Assistants.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide efficient service to both internal and external clients

- Review and log submissions from appointed brokers

- Communication submission status and document interactions with brokers

- Analyze submissions for pre-qualification using internal and external data sources

- Collaborate with brokers to gather additional information required by underwriters

- Process binders, policies, endorsements, and notices of cancellation or non-renewal

- Thoroughly document decisions, including declinations

- Support other underwriters as needed

- Foster positive relationships with brokers and agents

Compensation:

$21/hr to $31/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
