Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Stockton, California

Description We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team in the Healthcare/NHS industry based in Stockton, California. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and resolving accounts payable issues, maintaining accurate records, and identifying areas for process improvement. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Handle the matching, batching, coding, and entering of invoices

• Lead research and coordination for resolving accounts payable issues with vendors

• Maintain and update W9 Files and annual 1099 Forms

• Identify potential areas for automation and process improvements in accounting functions

• Review A/P Batches for proper expense coding and perform weekly or as needed check runs

• Monitor and review aging report to identify invoices due in various timeframes

• Perform month-end duties and assist in the preparation of annual financial and other audits

• Provide training and/or lead direction to Account Clerk I and II

• Serve as a liaison with internal departmental leaders and backup for other accounting functions. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the Healthcare/NHS industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Practical experience with ADP - Financial Services is required

• Familiarity with Ceridian software is a must

• Experience with Concur is greatly appreciated

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial

• Ability to perform all Accounting Functions effectively

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Auditing skills are highly desirable

• Proficiency in Billing Functions is required
