Develop and maintain OSU Stillwater campus domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer models using modeling software.\ \ Be a project manager and perform design work on campus domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer distribution systems, and review drawings and applications from outside sources to determine acceptability with OSU specifications.\ \ Develop OSU design guidelines for domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems.\ \ Provide guidance on established engineering practice\'s, procedures and technical direction to other engineers as needed.\ \ Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay meticulous attention to detail is required.\ \ Must demonstrate solid professional ethics and possess a sound capacity to follow through on tasks.\ \ Due to communication expectations of the position, the incumbent will be required to maintain a personal cell phone and will be required to be continually available both during and after normal working hours.\ \ Must work safely, adhere to all safety requirements, and promote a safe work environment.\ \ Work conditions include exposure to construction areas, laboratory areas, industrial plants, and mechanical rooms of which all could be deemed hazardous.\ \ Work takes place both in an office and in the field.\ \ Employee must use appropriate personal protective equipment as required (gloves, safety glasses, etc.) These items are provided and not for personal use.\ \ Requires periodic travel throughout the OSU Stillwater campus: to job sites for training, classes, and meetings, and occasionally off campus to vendors, manufacturing facilities, conferences, and other universities.\ \ Constantly positions self to fulfill the duties of the position, which include work on the underground or above-ground electrical utility distribution systems.\ \ Construction sites may include exposure to hazardous materials and systems, including high voltage equipment, steam and high-temperature water, open mechanical and rotating equipment, high air pressure, open trenches, areas of friable asbestos, and occasional work from ladders or heights; and processes that contain hazardous chemicals, biohazard, and radioactive products.\ \ Exposed to extreme heat and cold, working around hazardous equipment.
