Description
Purpose of the position:
Use proprietary software systems to accurately maintain data and determine forecasted customer demand. Schedule customer deliveries to avoid service interruptions at the lowest cost with the greatest utilization of assets and payloads. Identify and resolve customer and location issues. Provide world-class customer service via phone and email. Monitor alerts for changes in demand and adjusts the delivery plan as needed to ensure continuous supply to customers. Identify and escalate potential supply issues to the management team. Collaborate with Transport, Distribution, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to regularly evaluate the most efficient methods to manage customer demand and location resources. Maintain and communicate customer and operation notes for the night team.

Identify and execute opportunities to improve best practice initiatives
Assist in meeting regional sales and profit goals through the delivery of customer service and cost targets
Demonstrated capability to handle a complex and broad workload (union locations, specialty customers, plant outages, etc.)
Provide peer assistance when issues arise in the region
Willingness to develop and grow
May receive phone calls from the overnight coverage team for business support/troubleshooting
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business, logistics or supply chain management OR 3+ years of transportation dispatch, scheduling/planning experience acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
Prior transportation experience preferred
Effective written and oral communication skills
Good Analytical Skills
Good Math Skills
Strong Customer Service Skills
Capable of working efficiently with automated systems
