Montana Truss & Supply, LLC headquartered at 4434 East Side Hwy, Stevensville, MT 59870 phone number: (570) 533-1852, is looking to fill ten (10) Truss Assemblers positions from 05/15/2024 to 10/31/2024. This is for full-time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include as truss assemblers; workers will work as part of a team responsible for assembling wood trusses for commercial and residential buildings. Workers will use a component saw to cut out the truss, assemble the wood truss on the table, use hammers to apply steel gusset plates at all joints, using a large press to fasten steel gussets, according to work order and blueprint specifications. Workers will stack and band together finished wood trusses and lumber to be prepared for delivery by using a forklift to load and unload lumber and trusses onto delivery trucks. One month of training will be provided. Special requirements: NoneThe pay rate is $21.00 per hour with overtime available at $31.5 per hour, based on hourly rate. 40 hours per week from 7 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 4434 East Side Hwy, Stevensville, MT 59870, and will service clients within the West Montana nonmetropolitan area BLS/MSA, including the counties of Ravalli. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. The pay period is bi-weekly. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Employer-arranged housing is available at a monthly payroll deduction of $100.00. The offered housing is optional to workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the joband on-the-job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 weeks of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor.
