JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21523 Position Title: Teaching Assistant Professor HSW Teaching Assistant Professor (TL055) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Julia Fischer, Assistant Dean Department: School of Health Science and Wellness Position Summary This is an on-campus full-time academic year teaching assistant professor position. The teaching load is 12 credits each semester. The responsibilities associated with this position include: teaching undergraduate courses; engaging in professional development and scholarly activities; engaging in service to the department, university and profession; and promoting and supporting the university\'s mission, vision, and values. Excellence in teaching, scholarship/professional development, and service are required for retention and promotion. All areas of expertise within the fields of or related to health science and wellness will be considered. Possible teaching course opportunities may include but are not limited to the following areas community engagement, person-centered communication, behavior modification and philosophies of health and wellness. Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Evening and Weekend hours as needed. Description Department The Health Science and Wellness program is part of the School of Health Sciences and Wellness (SHSW) which has over 1200 students and offers 7 undergraduate majors, 7 graduate degree programs, and several certificate programs.
