JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20890 JOB TITLE: KEEP Educator Outreach Specialist TTC Title and Code: Outreach Specialist (OE009) FTE: 80% (32 hours per week) Principal Work Location: Remote Supervisor: Samara Hamze, KEEP Program Manager Position Summary This position is located within the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education (WCEE), a Center of the College of Natural Resources, at the University of WisconsinStevens Point. This position works with the WCEE director, KEEP Program Manager, and WCEE outreach staff to provide leadership and resources for the advancement of environmental and energy education in support of sustainable human and natural communities. With primary responsibilities in KEEP Wisconsins K-12 Energy Education Program, this position will deliver and assist with planning energy education professional development to pre-service, formal, and non-formal PK-12 education communities in Wisconsin. Programming will strive to strengthen partnerships and ensure adherence to policy to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and Wisconsin education communities. Professional development offerings will endeavor to ensure equitable access to programs, facilities, and educational services among diverse audiences. Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Varied hours as needed; may include occasional evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications -Experience developing, facilitating, and evaluating environmental or sustainability energy education resources. - Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with stakeholders from varied backgrounds and build relationships in an educational setting. - Familiarity with place and inquiry-based learning, as well as Wisconsin Standards for Environmental Literacy, other Wisconsin Standards, NGSS Standards and the NAAEE Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education Materials. -Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, establish priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality work. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: www.careers.wisconsin.edu
