JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21488 JOB TITLE: Assistant Professor - Ceramics Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus, Noel Fine Arts Center Supervisor: Assistant Dean, School of Design and Communication Position Summary The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, Area of Art and Art History invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Studio Art at the assistant professor level beginning in August 2025. The Department seeks candidates prepared to teach all levels of ceramics, foundation-level classes, as well as a range of upper-level courses relevant to the candidates interests. Our programs are integrative in nature and emphasize interdisciplinary approaches. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach art concepts that are relevant to contemporary theory and visual culture. We prefer candidates with experience in a variety of 3D processes. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about teaching, which is the primary focus of this position. On-going scholarly activity and university service are also required, commensurate with the teaching load. The teaching load for this position is four courses per semester with no more than three preparations. Each studio meets for 225 minutes 3.75 hours per week.
