Raytheon is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented network architect to join our team. This individual will hold responsibility for the organization's entire information technology network, which includes network (LAN, WAN and intranet), cloud and software technologies.

The responsibilities of this role include:

Implementing strategic network and security designs while following industry best practices

Collaborating with management staff to determine the organization's networking needs

Ensuring maintenance of current network and making upgrades or adjustments as needed

Researching to ensure network uses high-quality, up-to-date technology and equipment

Performing tests, installation and maintenance on required equipment

Establishing performance management metrics for networks

Troubleshooting and resolving network bugs, performance issues and other problems

Developing and maintaining accurate documentation for reference

Preparing project plans, including schedule, resources and budget estimates to present to management staff

Directing large-scale network and security infrastructure projects

Participating in meetings to gather information regarding data, business and user requirements

Other professional requirements for this position include:

5-10 years of professional experience in networking infrastructure, particularly with LAN/WAN and VLAN

Project management skills and experience preferred

Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MTA

Ability to work on-call or non-standard business hours as needed

Ability to work on site in Dulles, VA site

While an existing clearance is preferred, the ability to obtain a Government clearance is required.

At least a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, business or a related field

Requires deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple related departments.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
