Nightwing is seeking an Electrician to join a dynamic program in a world-class operations facility. The program requires a candidate that can support a broad range of fast paced, quick reaction program requirements. The role is responsible for operational support and facilities maintenance. The electrician's primary responsibilities will include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, and installation of light commercial electrical services. The electrician will be required to work independently and as part of a team on a wide variety of tasks. This role will support client support with engineering, analysis, testing, preventative maintenance, repair, new construction, recapitalization, and demolition. The individual will be expected to assess circumstances and conditions, determine appropriate technical solutions in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, client specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. The individual will present recommendations to and follow directions from the supervisor and/or client through to the completion of the task. Other site duties, as required outside of trade, in support of specific mission related taskings will also be required of the individual.

Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI with CI POLY. Ideal candidate would be eligible and willing for upgrade.

Required Skills:

Electrical knowledge and skills must be able to perform the general role as described. Hands-on experience and working knowledge of commercial circuitry, components, systems, functions, manufacturers, suppliers, etc. is a must.

To be successful, the candidate must be able to:

  1. Generate material lists, cost estimates, reliably forecast project schedules, and may possibly lead small teams to support client directives.

  2. Read building plans and specifications, cut sheets, O&M manuals, wiring diagrams, and warranties. 3. Read and follow OSHA standards and MSDS signs and literature, including the usage of established safety protocols and equipment (i.e. lock-out/tag-out, PPE, etc.)

  3. Possess client and internal team client service abilities and can work independently and as part of team with minimal supervision. Timely and effective responsiveness to client tasks and the availability to work occasional flexible hours on short notice (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) under stressful and/or emergency situations is a necessity. Similarly, the individual can expect to be asked to perform duties outside of their expertise in order to meet time–critical surge requirements.

  4. Aptitude and attitude to make enhance process leveraging lessons learned in daily work.

  5. Possess the minimum of a Journeyman Electrician

Desired Skills:

  • HVAC certifications or other construction related trade licenses

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Microsoft Office skills and how to use the internet to perform product specification searches

  • Basic carpentry, plumbing, and heavy equipment operation skills

  • The ability to lift 75lbs

  • Prior project management experience Technician license

  • Desire to travel OCONUS for short TDYs

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
