Your Impact:

Data Architect – Senior

Data Architects are accountable for planning, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining interfaces between individual architectural components and for ensuring system connects to and exchanges data with other external systems (to include Intelligence Community Data Services {IC DS), API Management, Common Data Fabric (CDF), the Data Intelligence System (DIS)) in an efficient manner.

Data Architects are responsible for architecting and implementing cloud security features into the system, to include ensuring interfacing with identity services and the proper processing of sensitive data from a protection, encryption, transport, storage, access, and auditing standpoint.

Data Architects are responsible for analyzing structural requirements for new software, data, applications, and use cases, and developing/deploying new architectural features in a continuous integration, continuous delivery (Cl/CD) manner. Cl/CD tools that will be used include Jenkins, CloudFormation, Artifactory, Gitlab, Sonarqube, Threadfix.

Data Architects must have experience with implementing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, various data storage formats (to include Intelligence Community {IC) specific formats such as Trusted Data Format (IC TDF), Intelligence Community Directive {ICD} 501, and the XML Data Encoding Specification for Intelligence Publications (PUBS12)) and technologies, DevOps best practices, and data architecture best practices and principles.


Here’s What You’ll Need:

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Hands on keyboard development in a full stack environment.

  • Front-end HTML5/CSS3, JS/TS/Angular.

  • Back-end Java/Spring.

  • Database: PostgreSQL/MongoDB/GraphQL

  • Limited support of legacy systems, and migration of legacy systems data

  • Develop new applications, extend existing web services, refresh UI/UX front-ends

  • Support a variety of product domains with large data sets, workflow management, and some business services

  • Support a global audience for the DoD/IC community

  • Minimum of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Most work will be done at a desk or computer.

Work Environment:

  • General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Equipment & Machines:

  • General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.


  • Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

  • Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
