POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Mortgage Loan Processor
Salary Range: Based on Experience
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 5:00

Reports To: Mortgage Banking Operations Manager

SUMMARY
\
The position of Mortgage Loan Processors is responsible for performing duties related to FHA, VA and Conventional mortgage loan applications; opens loan file, generates loan disclosure documentation; orders credit reports; orders evidence of insurance; orders and works with title companies and attorneys. Verifies through income and asset documents that data entered into Sauk Valley Bank\'s processing system is accurate and is in compliance with investor underwriting guidelines. Effectively communicates with loan customers, Loan Officers, Realtors and attorneys loan file status. Performs; routine customer reception duties including: Answering the telephone, customer service, and clerical activities, in addition to promoting business for Sauk Valley Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. Backup mortgage closer; issue initial closing disclosure and prepare closing documents for title company, funds loan.

Assures compliance with all policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
\
- Begins credit request process; inputs applicant information such as borrower\'s name and address in Sauk Valley Bank\'s loan processing system; lists loan amount, terms, grade, purpose, collateral and account balances; orders preliminary reports (e.g. title, flood, etc.) and appraisals
- Runs credit reports on current or prospective borrowers as necessary for all related interests
- Conducts account research to update customer\'s complete banking relationship
- Mails account verification statements and applicable disclosures
- Copies/scans loan packages for submission to appropriate involved parties
- Reviews loan packages to ensure information is complete; follows up to obtain missing data and updates as necessary
- Orders evidence of insurance
- Arranges and coordinates loan closing procedures with title companies, lenders and borrowers
- Prepares and sends loan commitment
- Provides superior customer service and assists in resolving problems within given authority
- Types routine letters, reports, forms, maintains files, copies and faxes documents
- Cross sells Sauk Valley Bank\'s other products and services, referring customers to appropriate staff when necessary
