$ We are looking for candidates that have driven forklifts for at least one year in a warehouse environment. Driving a forklift for construction for example is not comparable We are looking for candidates that have worked in a DC warehouse order picking environment for at least a year. We are looking for a candidate that has loaded and unloaded tractor trailers for at least a year and is familiar with dock safety requirements. Candidate must pass a drug screen and be drug free including Marijuana.
Must be able to lift 50-pound sacks for eight hours. Computer experience a plus for processing the loads in an electronic system.
WAGE: $20/Hr.
DAYS/HRS: Full Time Permanent 2nd Shift
DESCRIPTION: The warehouse worker will receive a load sheet to complete. Each customer will have a list on what s called a TLO. It is a pick sheet. The employee will go product by product ion the pick sheet and pull bags of product from one pallet onto their build pallet. There will be five to as many bags of each item the customer requires. The employee will move to the next product and follow the same step stacking and building the pallet until there is one ton of product on that pallet. As each product order is filled the employee will record the quantity filled. Each employee should pull at least three loads per day. When the load is pulled and ready to load the employee may be the employee loading it on the truck. All safety rules must be followed for truck loading. Housekeeping is a mandatory requirement on a daily basis. All bags of feed weigh between 40 and 50 pounds.
