Centennial Mental Health Center Product Manager in Sterling, Colorado

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Manager works closely with the agency leadership team to identify functional requirements and advise the business on the best systematic practices for projects with cross-functional impact on the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. The Product Manager directs technology actions both internally and externally to understand and properly implement the EHR system and ensure that all documented requirements are met. The Product Manager works within an agile work stream translating system and business requirements into functional operationalized solutions for the clinical application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Strategy:

Serve as the primary daily leadership role for the EHR/data team. Serve as the subject-matter expert on the EHR product and associated workflows and integrations advising agency leaders and various staff on procedure, system utilization, and workflow design. Develop and project-manages various EHR-related projects aligned with the organization's mission, values, strategies, and goals. Provide visionary leadership to the EHR/data team, fostering a culture of excellence, customer service, and accountability. Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate intelligent technology deployment across client engagement and external reporting departments and advise on the implications of technology deployment standards in overall agency strategic planning. System Oversight:

Operationalize clinical and medical utilization of the EHR and integrated systems in a consistent, compliant, and collaborative manner. Oversee EHR system configuration, operation, and maintenance sufficient to ensure consistent daily operations across the agency in alignment with current agency strategies, values, standards, and in compliance with all applicable external regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Maintain functional knowledge of the technology and regulatory environment in which agency EHR technology is deployed and recommend and/or initiate updates to configuration and operation of EHR and integrated technology as appropriate. Consistently monitor and ensure the constant functional status of EHR and integrated functions sufficient to avoid disruption to operations and/or client experience. Customer Experience:

Assess, interpret, analyze, and monitor both internal and external customer needs and requirements. Maintain functional communication channels with product users sufficient to understand, interpret, and explain customer needs to and between end users and technical counterparts. Influence and configure systems and workflows with high priority on customer experience and consistency of operations in alignment with security and regulation. Vendor Management:

Represent the agency as the functional and technical owner of the EHR system to the vendor of record (NextGen) and respective software firms that provide integrations into the EHR system. Collaborate with EHR vendors to influence the roadmap of systems licensed by the agency. Coordinate regular updates to EHR ecosystem with vendors and internal stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a modern, compliant, experience-first EHR service delivery environment for employees, clients, and community partners. Represent the organization at relevant conferences, workshops, and meetings to stay informed of industry trends and innovations. Design and present trainings and presentations tailored to a variety of audiences in a manner so as to convey highly technical information in a manner that can be understood by audiences with varying degrees of technical expertise. Data Analysis and Reporting:

Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of technology metrics to track performance, identify trends, and recommend improvement initiatives. Present findings and recommendations in a manner appropriate to various audiences including employees, the executive leadership team, and board of directors. Provide analytical support and expertise necessary to effectively convey clinical requirements to technical counterparts. Collaboration:

Maintain open and ongoing professional relationships with internal and external customers including staff, managers, community partners, clients, and community members. Work directly, collaborative, and regularly with agency leaders and staff to ensure the successful enactment of technology initiatives. Foster and develop an agency-wide culture of accountability and engagement, including supporting professional growth and ensuring a high level of expertise within the agency. Serve in an advisory capacity to the organization's client service departments providing recommendations and guidance on the operationalization of the EHR and integrated technologies consistent with technology capabilities, regulatory and contractual standards, and industry best practices Actively participate in opportunities that provide professional growth at center in-services, conferences, and/or education functions.
