Centennial Mental Health Center Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Sterling, Colorado

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive leader responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, including investments and audit activities. Guided by the CEO, the CFO will exemplify and enforce the organization's mission, vision, and values throughout their scope of control. The CFO will drive efforts in standardization, structure, and simplicity, ensuring financial operations align with strategic objectives. Finance Leadership: Ensure that all financial practices adhere to legal and ethical standards while leading initiatives to enhance transparency and compliance in financial reporting and operations. - Oversee all accounts, ledgers, financial software, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. - Maintain accurate financial records, including grant/fund accounting, to ensure compliance with all regulations and contractual requirements. Facilitate high-level financial reviews that not only cover current financial status but analyze trends, risks and opportunities with executive leadership and the Board of Directors. - Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze financial trends. - Forecast return on investment (ROI) for current and future programs. - Review and analyze the cost-effectiveness of various programs and departments, aligning them with the organization's strategic plan. Engage and initiate audit activities. Spearhead financial transformation initiatives aimed renovating financial operations. - Explore and integrate new technologies or methodologies that can improve financial reporting, risk management, or investment strategies Oversight and leadership of development of the annual operating budget and individual cost center/program budgets. Oversight and leadership of cash flow forecasting and maximize return on investments within regulatory guidelines. Executive Leadership: Assist the CEO and leadership team in developing the long-range strategic plan. Participate in facility expansion, property acquisition, and service mergers. Contribute to strategic vision planning and oversee the organization's financial outlook. Attend weekly leadership meetings to discuss organizational direction and present financial data. Represent the organization in committee and board meetings, advising stakeholders and public officials. Foster interdepartmental communication and coordination to ensure well-informed stakeholders and resource availability. Compliance: Ensure all financial operations comply with Federal and State regulations Help ensure organizational compliance with Federal and State regulations Collaborate with leadership team to manage the risks associated with clinic's cost, liability, operations and identify opportunities to reduce risk, contain costs and improve the quality of care. Protect individually identifiable health information per HIPAA, HITECH, 42 CFR regulations. Actively participate in safety programs of the organization by identifying potential risks a d promoting client safety as well as environmental safety. Perform safe work practices to protect the health and safety of employees and clients per OSHA regulation. People Management: Develop a talented and motivated workforce by ensuring engagement and satisfaction; while ensuring optimal efficiency and accountability. Work collaboratively with Human Resources to develop and deploy employee engagement initiatives. Supervise, coach, and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering partnerships and innovation. Ensure a productive work environment within the finance and accounting function. Manage finance-related committees, including the Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and Investment Committee. Other: Implement emergency procedures as necessary. Performs other job duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and directs subordinate staff, including assigning and reviewing work, hiring independently, and evaluating, writing and signing work performance evaluations. Master's Degree preferred.
