Job: This is an entry level General Labor position in our production department on 2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:30 pm until 11:00 pm. $17 per hour.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and finish product using hand tools and/or power tools according to specifications

  • Rig/hang parts using wire to prep for galvanizing

  • Mask and tape parts for Corrocoting process

  • Train in metalizing

  • Complete paperwork as needed

  • Assist in general plant clean up and housekeeping

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, hold, grasp for various amounts of time

  • Must be willing to work in hot, cold or rainy environment

  • Must wear full PPE at all times while on the floor – steel toed boots w/met guards, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, work pants/jean, long sleeves, high viz vest and any additional PPE needed for the task.

  • Work safely, protecting self and others from accident and injury

  • Follow all required processes, procedures and regulations

  • Pay attention to detail and follow work instructions

  • Calculate simple mathematics and accurately read a tape measure

  • Communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Experience using hand tools and power tools preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Experience operating heavy equipment preferred

  • Willingness to learn and apply training

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs,

  • Able stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, stoop, push, pull, reach, grasp, hold and carry for various periods of time

  • Able to wear required PPE at all times: Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, reflective vest, long sleeves, long pants, steel toed boots with built in met guards, face shield as needed

Job Summary:

Employee will complete a variety of tasks depending on department including general clean up, racking, rigging, tape/masking, UVing, metalizing and assisting with the loading of trucks. Must follow all processes, procedures and regulations and maintain the highest of standards including no damage to product and/or equipment. Must wear PPE at all times, arrive on time, work the required schedule each week and report any damage or issues to the department supervisor immediately. Must be aware of surroundings at all times including coworkers, especially while in movement and use a spotter when necessary.
