As a Brand Licensing Manager, you have the responsibility to expand and evolve Doosan Bobcat’s brand presence and enhance the positive perception of the brand through the Global Licensing Program. You are responsible for directing the strategic vision and growth initiatives, as well as ensuring the consistent and efficient delivery of licensed products that represent the brand attributes. Additionally, the role involves direct management of the licensing agency of record and collaboration across the business to ensure trademark protection, governance, and compliance on a global scale.
Role & Responsibility
Licensing Program Management
Own a relationship with our brand licensing agency to identify and establish licensing partnerships to expand the Bobcat brand into new product categories and markets
Develop and execute growth strategies, global alignment for process efficiencies, brand consistency and regional market appeal, while driving toward established business goals
Work with regional teams to develop ideal state of communication, process and systems for routing and approving new opportunities while managing existing licensing partners
Approve negotiated licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with brand standards and legal requirements, managing expectations, timelines, and approvals
Analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports to evaluate the success of initiatives to key stakeholders
Develop and manage budgets, forecasting & reporting related to licensing activities
Global Alignment & Collaboration
Ensure retail strategies are globally aligned, considering regional variations and market dynamics, includes review of contracts for business alignment, and routing contracts to appropriate parties for approval
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure proper registration and protection of the company's IP, compliance to brand standards and design
Ensure all licensing activities align with brand guidelines and maintain the integrity of the brand
Leadership and Team Development
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture
Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members for professional growth
Identify and nurture talent within the team
Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members
Allocate resources effectively to ensure the successful completion of projects
Develop and implement staffing plans to meet project and organizational objectives
Strategically assign tasks based on team members' strengths and expertise
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management or a related field
7-10 years’ experience with proven results in retail, merchandise, licensing industry, preferably in a global setting
Excellent negotiation and communication skills and experience with third-party retailer relationships
Strong understanding of branding and marketing principles
Proven ability to influence key stakeholders cross-functionally, clearly, and professionally
Confident, creative, and dynamic leader with excellent verbal communication skills, as well as strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
Understanding of the licensing industry and vision of brand expansion
Knowledge of the equipment manufacturing industry and its retail dynamics
Understand the business structure, identify key partners, and engage in key corporate communication
Proven ability to interact with and influence internal and external stakeholders, relates well to all individuals, inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport across all audiences
Proven ability to independently resolve problems in an effective, diplomatic manner
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines
Experience building and managing high-performing teams to deliver outstanding results, meeting timelines, holding accountability and performance management responsibilities
Creates a climate in which people want to do their best; can motivate and empower individuals; invites input, shares ownership and visibility

Travel: up to 20% travel domestic and abroad
