Summary:

This is a temporary, full-time position supported by federal grant funds. This position is responsible for assisting and supporting Children’s Justice staff with project implementation, assessment, and other requirements as dictated by current grant projects. This position will need to be located in Central, Eastern or Southeastern Iowa (Judicial Districts 6, 7, or 8).

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a close working relationship with project partners

  • Facilitating communication with multidisciplinary groups

  • Assisting in meeting federal requirements, including data collection and reporting

  • Providing assistance to assigned Judicial Districts

  • Providing project progress and data to the Director

  • Providing technical assistance and support to assigned Family Treatment Courts

  • Participation in local and state committees

  • Other duties as assigned depending on grant requirements

This employee will be supervised by the Director of the Children’s Justice Program in State Court Administration.

Work Street Address: To Be Determined, Employee will provide services in the 6th, 7th and 8th JD (Central, Eastern and South Eastern Iowa)

Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience in child welfare, substance abuse, mental health, health care, family services, court or legal work, or a related area required. Training or evaluation experience helpful.

Masters degree in a social service field preferred.

The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills; maintain confidentiality in all areas of work; be proficient in Microsoft Office suite. The candidate should have ability to develop statistical calculations and spreadsheets and use data to assess progress as necessary for the project.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
