CATABUS Fleet Maintenance Supervisor in State College, Pennsylvania

Hiring for: Maintenance Supervisor 2nd Shift, 2pm – 10:30pm 3rd Shift, 10:00pm – 6:30am

As a Maintenance Supervisor at CATA you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who have committed to providing excellent service to all of our staff.  Some pertinent responsibilities are:

  • Assists the Maintenance Manager and as necessary, acts on his or her behalf in their absence.

  • Supervise, train, instruct and monitor the work of the mechanics and service crew engaged in maintaining, servicing, repairing and fueling buses and other vehicles and equipment.

  • Ensure completed work by shop personnel meet quality, performance and safety expectations.

  • Responds to inquiries and pre-trip notations concerning vehicles and equipment.

  • Ensure that all completed work is appropriately captured and recorded in the fleet management software and that all records are accurate.

  • Coordinates, prepares, submits and completes warranty claims.

  • Communicates disciplinary actions and prepares proper paperwork related to discipline procedures.

  • Oversees the road call program to minimize unnecessary road calls while providing timely and efficient support to the operations department.

  • Conducts daily shift meeting with shop personnel to identify and resolve problems; provides guidance when needed.

  • Coordinates shop personnel’s shifts and assignments.

     

    Position requires possession of, or the ability to obtain, Class A CDL with passenger endorsement,

     PA State Inspection License (S7) and 609 AC certification .

     CATA provides CDL training and assistance for inspection license and AC certification.

    Starting salary (dependent upon experience and qualifications) $56,772.25 - $64,301.00
