PCU/Step-Down RN | Travel Contract | Silicon Valley

Position Details:

• Location: Palo Alto, CA

• Soonest Start Date: March 3, 2025

• Duration: 13-week contract (potential for extension)

• Unit: Surgical Services Pre/Post Care Interventional

• Shift: Rotating Days/Nights

• Days: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

• Nights: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

• Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week)

• On-Call: Two 12-hour on-call shifts per 4-week period required

  Requirements:

• Active CA RN License

• Minimum 5 years of PCU RN experience

• Significant step-down and post-surgical experience required

• ACLS and BLS certifications

• Previous Travel RN experience required

• EPIC proficiency

• BSN preferred

• Travelers only, address over 50 miles from the facility

• Caring for patients requiring cardiac monitoring

• Managing post-operative recovery and pain management

• Coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams

• Educating patients and families about recovery process

• Documenting patient care using EPIC

• Responding to rapid changes in patient conditions

• Supporting smooth transitions between levels of care
