Stanford University Outpatient Vascular Neurology CE (Clinical Assistant Professor / Clinical Associate Professor), Department of Neurology, Stanford University in Stanford, California

The Division of Stroke (Vascular) in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University seeks a board-eligible or board-certified vascular neurologist to join the Department as a Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor in the Clinician Educator Line .

The major criterion for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Responsibilities include providing leadership for the Stanford Stroke Clinic attending four half-days of stroke clinic per week at Stanford and two clinics per week at Tri-Valley (Pleasanton, CA). Inpatient duties will approximately four weeks of inpatient vascular neurology/neurohospitalist service at Tri-Valley and participation in telestroke and night call as part of the vascular neurology call pool. This position also includes teaching of Stanford medical students, residents, and fellows and three weeks of protected research time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful applicant should have an MD (or equivalent), be board-eligible or board-certified in vascular neurology, and have completed an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency and Vascular Neurology fellowship.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Clinical Assistant Professor: $245,000 - 263,000

Clinical Associate Professor: $284,000 - 302,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
