Stanford University Assistant or Associate Professor, Solid Tumor Cell Therapy in Stanford, California

The Division of Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University seeks a board-certified or eligible medical oncologist as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the University Medical Line (UML). We are seeking a medical oncologist with expertise in solid tumor cell therapy, with a preferred clinical focus in melanoma. We are particularly interested in early-career professionals. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

The solid tumor cell therapy and melanoma groups seek a clinical investigator with a preference for expertise in melanoma to establish new clinical, translational collaborations and to conduct clinical and translational trials focused on solid tumor cell therapeutics. He/she should have an MD or MD/PhD and be board certified or eligible in medical oncology. The candidate should have training as an investigator with a track record of research funding and a strong publication record, or for assistant professor appointment the potential to become successful in obtaining research funding and actively publish in high impact journals. The candidate will teach fellows and other trainees and participate in the Oncology clinics and accompanying tumor board. The Division of Oncology benefits from an outstanding scientific and clinical environment at Stanford, including active collaborations with the basic science departments and the Stanford Institutes.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Department of Medicine, Division of Oncology

Assistant Professor: $275,000 - $289,000

Associate Professor: $301,000 - $361,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
