CoCreate is a fast-paced, ever-growing environment. The team is seeking an eager, hands-on, creative and outgoing team member to execute co-creation activities and community engagement at our FirstBuild Makerspace. You will be asked to complete a variety of tasks and juggle multiple ongoing projects. These projects include creating and executing FirstBuild operating strategy, planning and executing co-creation opportunities and in-person events and more. This role will work closely with several leaders to further brand, product and community initiatives. This role requires a demonstration of intense flexibility, adaptation, creativity and attention to detail.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Develop 1B launch and growth strategy through a phased approach of increasing offerings and hours of operation.

  • Test and learn offerings and events that increase engagement and foot traffic from the public.

  • Develop clear rules and procedures for use of equipment by the General Public

  • Develop Class offerings and recommendations for staff, resources, and pricing.

  • Lead day to day operation of the 1B Makerspace ensuring all safety rules, policies, and 5S procedures are being enforced.

  • Develop robust STEM/educational programming to engage local youth.

  • Provide exemplary customer service to FirstBuild consumers

  • Grow awareness and engagement of FirstBuild’s in-person community by initiating community outreach and executing meaningful events

  • Identify and drive digital and in-person co-creation efforts with the FirstBuild community

  • Organize and advertise meet-ups that drive engagement and 1B community development.

  • Explore collaborations with creatives, makers, educators, professionals, entrepreneurs and others to drive 1B engagement

  • Connect with other maker communities and makerspaces for collaborations and sharing of best practices

  • Capture and share 1B content through social media channels and the CoCreate website

  • Effectively work cross-functionally to understand and execute commercial activities as needed

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with both internal and external customers regarding FirstBuild products, brand and event.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or engineering, or relevant work experience

  • 3 years of work experience in related fields.

  • Superior communication skills

  • Organizational and project management skills

  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment

  • Ability to work occasional scheduled evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in start-up environments with success in launching new products to market.

  • Passion for learning, education, and making

  • Experience with hand/power tools, wood working and/or metal fabrication
