Functional Description:

Davis Defense Group (DDG) is looking for a Helpdesk representative for student records support to the College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) on site in Quantico Virginia. The Unit Diary (student records) section works with CDET students, faculty and staff to process and assist with course enrollments, course completions, transcript requests and reporting to associated Marine Corps personnel systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tier I level and some tier II level troubleshooting for student issues relating to MarineNet and Distance Education Program (DEP) coursework in the Learning Support System (LSS) and MarineNet systems.
  • Provide tier I level testing support for courseware being developed for and hosted in the CDET E-Learning Ecosystem.
  • Verify and correct approved course completion bonus/reserve retirement point issues via the Unit Diary.
  • Submit and track student related issues using the JIRA system for trouble ticket submission.
  • Respond to student questions and queries regarding DEPs and MarineNet such as:

o Student enrollments, disenrollment and waiver requests

o Course equivalency requests

o Grade change requests

o Official Transcript requests

o Diplomas

  • Construct periodic student reports using a Marine Corps web services application and electronically submit for review.
  • Generate, review, and correct erroneous entries identified on monthly transaction reports.
  • Generate reports to track student progress.
  • Validate MarineNet transactions post to Marine Corps administrative systems properly using Operational Data Store Enterprise (ODSE).

Required Experience:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with the following systems/applications (training provided as required):

o Unit Diary Manpower Integrated Personnel System (UDMIPS)

o Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS)

o JIRA

  • Prior military service or experience working with the military.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
