A Journeyman Gun-drill Machinist is responsible for understanding the set up, programming and operation of Mollart Gun-drill.

salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 8 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Set Up, program, and operate Mollart Gun-drills according to Hunting procedures and manufacturing drawings.

• Demonstrated ability to setup a machine and run the job with minimal supervision.

• Knowledgeable of all associated precision measuring tools of the shop.

• Supports and assists with machine PM program.

• Proven ability to read and interpret critical dimensions on manufacturing drawings.

• Responsible for dimensional and quality requirements of components.

• Proactively identify and implement ways to reduce set up times and then communicate such that routers and schedules reflect the improvements.

• Understands the needs of calibration cycles of test tools.

Required Skills/Experience

To perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to complete all areas outlined above for this position in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary to meet the minimum job requirements of this position.

Education

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills are required.

• Preferred: A College certification or technical school in related field.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 1 year to 3 years in CNC or Manual Lathe or Mill operation and 1 year of experience of Set-up and operation of Mollart Gun-drilling equipment.

• Experience in an Engineer-to-Order or Make-to-Order shop environment.
