Description:

Come join our Patient Access team at Johnson Memorial Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England!

Position Purpose

Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.

What you will do

  • Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions

  • Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits

  • Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are

  • Collects non-covered fees

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum High school or equivalent

  • One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances

Position Highlights and Benefits

  • Part time 10hr per week, 3p-8p every other weekend plus rotate Mon and Wed 3-8p (4 shifts per two week schedule)
