Jabil Supply Chain Sustainability Governance Manager in St. Petersburg/Tampa, Florida

How will you make an Impact?

The Sustainability Governance Manager will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of Jabil’s Sustainability Governance Framework, ensuring alignment with global regulatory standards and legislations, industry best practices, customers standards and corporate sustainability goals. This role is responsible for integrating supply chain sustainability into the company’s overall governance structure, managing risks, and ensuring transparency and accountability in sustainability reporting. The Sustainability Governance Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic sustainability initiatives, enhance compliance, and promote continuous improvement across the organization.

What will you do?

Governance Framework Development and Implementation:

  • Design, implement and maintain Jabil’s Supply Chain Sustainability governance framework, aligning it with corporate strategy, regulatory and Customers requirements.

  • Develop policies, standards, directives, process, procedures and systems to support sustainability initiatives across the organization.

  • Ensure integration of sustainability principles into decision-making processes and corporate governance.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Monitor and ensure that Jabil Supply Chain Sustainability governance is in compliance with local, national, and international sustainability regulations, including all applicable and related ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.

  • Ensure that the Supply Chain Sustainability governance properly identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to Supply Chain including environmental, social, and ethical risks.

  • Support development and integration of the monitoring and audit program ensuring alignment with multiples standards and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including supply chain, compliance, legal, operations, product development and others, to ensure alignment on sustainability process, goals and initiatives.

  • Engage with external stakeholders, including customers, consultants, and other related entities to support and ensure alignment with Jabil`s Supply Chain sustainability governance.

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness and build capacity on sustainability governance within the organization.

Sustainability Reporting and Transparency:

  • Oversee the preparation and publication of sustainability reports to multiples audiences, ensuring they follow Jabil’s Supply Chain Sustainability governance.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sustainability governance, providing regular updates to senior management.

  • Benchmark Jabil’s sustainability overall governance, including policies, standards, process, etc against industry standards and best practices, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that Supply Chain Sustainability governance supports Jabil’s strategic planning process, setting long-term sustainability goals and targets.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in sustainability governance practices, exploring new technologies and approaches to enhance performance.

  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives that align with Jabil’s business objectives and enhance its reputation as a sustainability leader

How will you get here?

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Governance, Legal or a related field required

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in sustainability governance, SER compliance, regulatory compliance, or corporate governance and/or a combination of equivalent experience and education

  • Must be able to Travel Domestic and/or International, up to 50 %

  • Knowledge in project management and risk management tools and methodologies preferred.

  • Knowledge of Jabil’s SCM software a plus.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:  

  • Strong understanding of sustainability governance frameworks, ESG standards, and global regulatory requirements.

  • Knowledge on sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, SASB , UNGC, SBTIs, SDGs, and others).

  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to sustainability and corporate governance.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Experience working in a multinational organization with a focus on sustainability, compliance programs or corporate governance.

  • Ability to define software requirements and create procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information or training material and respond to questions from relatively large groups of people.

  • Strong problem solving, analytic, negotiation, project management and people skills are a must.

  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, summarize information and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited information. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

LANGUAGE SKILLSAdvanced PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheets. Ability to define software requirements and create procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information or training material and respond to questions from relatively large groups of people.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs. Be accessible to production floor and office staff and to use required office equipment. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently. This job may require up to 30% travel.
